Peter Stacy is a Partner at W&D Law and practices in the areas of general business transactions, professional and commercial litigation, complex contracts, business formation and planning, ownership transitions, employment, franchise law, and intellectual property protection, and real estate. Peter currently serves as outside general counsel to a number of small to medium size firms and companies. He began his legal career in complex business litigation before expanding his practice to provide “full service” legal counseling to clients. This broad range of both litigation and transactional experience gives him a particular advantage in counseling business clients from start to finish.

Mr. Stacy spends the majority of his time on transactional matters including but not limited to the following: Complex development agreement, IPD contracts, land acquisitions, ranch law and related matters. Specifically, Mr. Stacy has drafted and negotiated complex contracts concerning multi-million-dollar casinos, resorts, mixed-use developments and multi-family subdivisions. He has spearheaded a number of private placement investments deals and acquisitions in varied industries.

He represents a wide variety of clients, including architects and engineers, contractors, investment advisors, institutional investors, entrepreneurs, entertainers, manufacturing and fabrication companies, property managers, and retail businesses. He has worked with professional organizations in both California and Nevada on specific legislation, including drafting legislation and position statements. Mr. Stacy has experience interacting with governmental agencies, having served as outside county panel counsel for the County of Los Angeles, panel counsel for the Joint Powers Authority in Los Angeles and Orange Counties, California, and the Los Angeles Judges Association (since absorbed by the California Judicial Council).

Peter is a regular speaker at industry-focused seminars and conferences. Residing in the City of Glendora, California, with his wife and two children, Peter is involved in a number of local community and service organizations. He enjoys cycling, trail riding, and Santa Maria-style barbecuing

IPD Agreement for amusement park in Florida;
• Ranch purchases and sales in CA, NV, and CO;
• Franchise Agreements and ongoing representation of franchisees in CA and NV;
• Professional Services Agreements for multiple gaming and/or hospitality projects in CA, NV, Tribal lands, and internationally (Australia, Singapore, UAE, various Caribbean countries, Colombia); and
• Administrative matters with or before South Coast AQMD, EDD/DLSE, CAB, and CSLB.
